We were here

‘’Paris is always a good idea’’ said Coco Chanel. And that’s why we were also there for our winter campaign 2015/16 and other things. Top secret project (Pssst….it’s about love) and it was the fashion week as well. (Need we say more, ladies?) After all, we all saw Gucci’s violet sea of flowers on instagram) And then there was this question during the flight: Where the heck is the Eiffel tower and through what window can you see it?!

“Paris is always a good idea” sagte Coco Chanel. Und deswegen waren wir auch dort. Für unsere Winterkampagne 2015/16 und ein anderes, total geheimes Projekt (psssst…..es geht um Liebe). Und außerdem war Fashion Week (mehr muss man nicht sagen, oder Ladies? Wir haben immerhin alle auf Instagram Guccis violettes Blumenmeer gesehen). Und dann war da während des Fluges noch diese eine Frage: Wo verdammt ist der Eiffelturm und aus welchem Fenster kann man ihn sehen?

This bridge is so beautiful. The first time we saw it was at night. Waait! Stop! No actually, the first time we saw it was on Google as we were searching for our shooting locations. And, we immediately fell in love. Fab-u-lous.  The internet says it’s built in the neo-baroque architectural style. Okay? You should see it when you are in Paris. It should be on your to-do list right after 'eating up the macarons'.

Diese Brücke ist so schön. Wir haben sie das erste Mal bei Nacht gesehen. Stopp, eigentlich haben wir sie das erste Mal auf Google gesehen, als wir nach unseren Shootinglocations recherchiert haben. Und: wir haben uns sofort verliebt. Fa-bel-haft. Das Internet sagt, sie ist im Neobarock gebaut. Okay? Ihr solltet sie sehen, wenn ihr in Paris seid. Kommt auf der To-Do-Liste gleich nach ‚Macarons vernaschen‘.

We were there during a proposal. But dear men, just because the Eiffel tower is right there doesn’t mean that it’s romantic. You should put in more effort than just falling on your knees and ‘’putting a ring on it’’ We love a lot of words, warm and cuddly words. Okay. At least the Eiffel tower is there.

Bei einem Antrag waren wir live dabei. Aber liebe Männer, nur, weil der Eiffelturm daneben steht, heißt das nicht, dass es romantisch ist. Ihr dürft euch schon ein bisschen mehr Mühe geben, als nur auf die Knie zu fallen und einen Ring anzustecken. Wir mögen große Worte. Und warme, kuschelige Worte. Okay, wenigstens war der Eiffelturm dabei.

We have to admit: you have to see it when you are in Paris!  But not at 2am since no metro drives anymore at that time. We had to experience it in a painful way as we were looking forward to shooting for our top secret project at that time. That’s why we went there again on the next day.  And then there was one question: who dares to drive through that oversized round about?!

Zugegeben: man muss ihn gesehen haben, wenn man in Paris ist. Aber nicht nachts um 2 Uhr. Dann fährt nämlich keine Metro mehr – das mussten wir schmerzlich feststellen, als wir dort eigentlich für unser total geheimes Projekt shooten wollten. Deswegen waren wir am Tag danach noch einmal dort. Und eine Frage blieb: Wer traut sich in diesen überdimensionalen Kreisel zu fahren (nein, keine Fahrbahnmarkierungen)?!
